The Team Finland network promotes Finland and its interests abroad: the internationalisation of Finnish enterprises, investments in Finland, and the country brand. The Team Finland operating model brings together the key actors and services in these fields. The core of the network consists of the publicly funded organisations operating in these fields, such as the ministries, Finland’s network of diplomatic missions, Business Finland, Finnish culture and science institutes abroad, Finnvera, Finnfund, and the regional internationalisation services, built upon the ELY Centres.
The Team Finland network will help your enterprise become more international, grow, and succeed in the global market. For more information on services to companies seeking internationalisation, see: services.team.finland.fi.

The Nigerian market is relatively unknown to Finnish companies. Yet Nigeria counts among the most attractive emerging markets on the continent due its size, population growth, resources and location. Some promising reforms have been undertaken by the Nigerian government in sectors where Finns are traditionally strong on other emerging markets.
Nigeria is a complex market where commitment and long-term planning are needed. Getting balanced information on the risks, access to the relevant authorities, an understanding of the regulatory framework and finding reliable partners are keys for success in Nigeria. This is where the Team Finland network can be of important help.
The priority-sector of the Team Finland network in the year 2013 is the power sector. The network aims at providing more focused information on its developments, and at organizing tailored trade- and investment –promotion activities for interested Finnish companies. The work of the Team Finland in other sectors is demand-based. The overall geographical focus of the network is the area of Lagos, without disregarding other States if opportunities for Finnish companies arise.
The Team Finland network’s drive benefits from a very satisfactory exchange of trade missions between the two countries. The then Minister for Foreign Trade and Development of Finland led an official trade mission to Nigeria in 2010, and Finnish companies took part in the Nordic Power Sector Delegation later in 2010. The then Minister of State for Power visited Finland in Spring 2012 and the Minister of Trade and Investment Mr. Olusegun Aganga made a counter-visit to Helsinki in December 2012, accompanied by 20 Nigeria companies. Many smaller events, such as the Nordic Spirit in Business and Culture –days of Lagos (February 2012), have taken place in addition.
